What care options are available?

Here at Leycester House, we are keen to ensure that we take care of everyone in the best way possible. We offer a range of care options including residential care, nursing care, dementia care, and respite stays.

What does the all-inclusive cost include?

In addition to your care, the benefit of living in our home is the special extras that are part of your stay. Treat yourself to a new hairstyle or start the day with a relaxing spa bath followed by a pedicure or massage. If you’re looking for something more active, the in-house events team has fun exercises and daily activities for all to enjoy. We have a wonderful team of chefs who will gladly cook your favourite dish for you and your guests, and our bar bistro team will organise a special tipple.

Are there any costs outside of the all-inclusive fee?

Everything is included except for private medical costs, which are not covered.

What sort of activities do you provide?

As well as 5-star care, we have many activity options available to all our Leycester House residents. Activities on offer include arts & crafts, music, board games, quizzes, gardening club, seated exercise, baking, and even outside afternoon tea when the weather permits. Plus, any excuse to celebrate an occasion – such as birthdays, Australia Day, National Cheese Lovers Day, Chocolate Cake Day, even Elvis Presley’s Birthday!

What on-site facilities do you have?

We want all residents at Leycester House to have access to the very best facilities. We offer fine and al fresco dining as well as a bistro bar. We have a hair salon and nail bar and an in-house cinema. We also offer a full range of spa treatments at our wellness space.

What’s included in the Bedrooms?

Each of our tastefully decorated bedrooms is en-suite. You’ll find the room fully furnished with a 32” Smart TV included. There is also a dedicated phone line so residents can keep in touch with reception and their loved ones.

How often can my friends and family come to visit?

We know the importance of keeping in touch with loved ones and we do everything in our power to make this as easy as possible. We have an online system where people can book a visit to the home. We have full PPE for guests to make use of and encourage Covid-19 safe visits throughout. If you are not able to visit, each floor has an iPad for Skype, What’s App, or Zoom calls, bookable on our online calendar.

Is there a safe space for my family to visit?

Yes, we have an online scheduling system where loved ones can book individual time slots to visit loved ones. We also have visiting pods and lodges in our gardens, so no matter the weather friends and family can visit in a Covid-19 safe environment.

Can I choose what I eat and when I eat it?

Our on-site chefs love to get creative so will be happy to try and put something together for everyone. They also take care of any dietary requirements. We offer residents the choice of where they eat, whether that is the dining room, the garden, or in their own room. We also have a bistro bar which is always fully stocked!

Do you offer short-term stays?

Yes, we offer both respite and day-care options here at Leycester House.

Do you manage my medication?

We know the importance of round-the-clock health care and this is something we are proud to offer. We have an on-site team of registered nurses to help with medication and any health care needs.

Do I need to register with the local GP?

We work closely with a fantastic local surgery, where we have weekly visits from the GP. Of course, if a resident prefers to stay with their current GP we’ll make sure they get to all of their appointments in a chauffeur-driven car!

What other health services do you provide?

We offer 24-hour health care. We have several on-site healthcare professionals as well as a weekly visit from the GP and regular visits from an optician and chiropodist.

Will I be vaccinated against Covid-19?

We are following NHS advice currently, when a resident is offered a Covid-19 vaccine we’ll ensure we get them to their appointment so they can be vaccinated accordingly.

How do I arrange a visit?

How will my care be funded?

There are three main types of care funding, NHS, Local Authority, and Private. Most of our residents are privately funded, and new residents will be asked to provide proof that they can support 2 years’ worth of funding. Our experienced Managers will be able to advise you about the options which may be available. but it is advisable to seek independent financial advice to explore any potential funding opportunities.
