The 2019 Top 20 Care Home Awards
We are thoroughly delighted to say that we have been named in this year's Top 20 Care Home Awards as one of the most recommended care homes in our region. This is all thanks to our review score on, which means it's thanks to our residents, their friends and family members for leaving us such wonderful reviews.

Thank you to all the staff here for making Leycester House such a wonderful place to live and thank you to our brilliant residents for making working here such a pleasure.

There's never a dull moment here in our home
All sorts of things have been going on here at Leycester House in addition to our trips, with a wide variety of activities and events taking place here in our home. ‘Move It or Lose It’ classes started in January with Joanne and have so far been a great success – we have had such great feedback from residents that we have made the decision to keep this popular class running every Monday at 11am!

Bingo has proven to be very popular at the weekends with lots of residents, their family members and friends participating – will you be joining us next time? Who knows, you might be our next winner! It’s a great social activity that’s fun for all ages, and we always have a good giggle.

Motionhouse is a local dance company and they were kind enough to come to Leycester House to perform for us on Friday 1st March – they were so good that we’ve already arranged for them to return in a few weeks! They kindly danced for us for free, practicing a routine in front of our residents before performing to the general public. The dancers then stayed with us for a while, chatting to the residents about the performance, which was really lovely. We can't wait for Motionhouse to come back!

Warmer weather is on its way - and we can't wait!
We had a Fish & Chip Night in February, as requested by our residents, and it went down an absolute treat – we’re already planning to repeat this event in April! On the topic of delicious food, we have also organised for an ice cream van to make a weekly trip to our home, so everyone can enjoy their favourite frozen treat every week. What could be better with the warmer months on their way?

Speaking of spring and summer, we are looking forward to the warmer weather as we have all sorts of activities planned both here in our garden and further afield. Watch this space! Our outside space will soon be even lovelier as our new sensory garden is coming together and will be finished by the end of April. Please do come and have a look!

Out and about in wonderful Warwickshire and further afield
We’ve been on all sorts of outings in the past few months, visiting local garden centres, popping out for pub lunches, cinema trips and outings to the Cotswolds. We were lucky enough to spend some time in Stratford-upon-Avon enjoying afternoon tea and we have also been for walks in the park – and no walk in the park is complete without an ice cream, is it?

We also visited the Dog’s Trust, which was a wonderful trip, and we’ve been putting on a weekly Sunday Gentlemen’s Trip to the Inn. Our weekly visit to the local church is proving popular too!

March Events at Leycester House
We would love to see you at Leycester House this month, and we have four fantastic events lined up to make March extra-special. We hope you can make it in to see one or all of our great acts!

Without further ado, here’s what we have in store this March…

We’re kicking the month off in style, with an Olly Murs Tribute Act on Thursday 7th! This evening event will most certainly be a night to remember, with high-tempo tunes and plenty of dancing, with songs such as Troublemaker, Heart Skips a Beat and Dear Darlin’.

Next, we’re welcoming Marcus back to Leycester House on 14th, and we can’t wait to hear him singing songs from days gone by and more contemporary covers too. It will be a great night for all generations.

On Thursday 21st, Victoria will be here to entertain us with a wide variety of songs – as an amazing vocalist, she’s sure to give us all a great night. Come along, sit back, relax and have fun!

Last but not least, on Thursday 28th, we’ll have a Michael Bublé Tribute Act here at Leycester House! This evening, get as close to the real thing as possible at what’s set to be a truly great event, with songs including Home, Feeling Good and Haven’t Met You Yet.

At all four events, a light buffet will be served, so please come along and join in the fun. Please RSVP to or 01926 357210 – we hope to see you soon!

Love was in the air at Leycester House this Valentine's Day
Love was in full swing this Valentine’s Day with lots going on throughout the home – our fantastic kitchen team organised fine dining for all the couples in our home, we put on some special love-themed activities and we raffled off a lovely Valentine’s Hamper too. This was won by Kate, one of our wonderful carers here at Leycester House!

The latest Leycester House news
We have so much to tell you about, with all sorts going on here in our home, including some charity fundraising. In the past few months, we have donated funds to some amazing charities, including £200 to Zoë’s Baby Trust - and Dorothy Wilkinson generously donated £202.90 to Macmillan Cancer Support for her birthday, received in the form of gift donations from family and friends in lieu of presents.

We’re pleased to say that Leycester House is now a sponsor of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, something we’re incredibly proud of.

February Events at Leycester House
With four events taking place here at Leycester House this month, there’s sure to be something to entertain everyone – which of our Thursday evenings this month will take your fancy?

We’re kicking things off with a visit from a wonderful singer, Sam Southall, who performs songs from the 1950s all the way through to present day. We’re then delighted to be welcoming Paulo Pinto back into Leycester House, here to dazzle us with his English, Italian and Spanish songs! Paulo covers everything from the Rat Pack and Michael Bublé to Motown and Soul, so it’s sure to be a great treat for Valentine’s Day.

Johnny Rickard will then be joining us to perform his tribute act featuring the songs of Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond, so there will be plenty to sing along to at this event. Last but most certainly not least, we’re delighted to have Away with the Fairies back for another evening to perform their folk-based music mixed with comedy, which is fun for all ages.

A light buffet will be served at all our events this February too and as always, everything is completely free of charge – please RSVP by calling 01926 357210 or emailing
