What families say about our care home

My mother moved to Leycester House following a bad fall 2 years ago. She was 96 years old. Mum spent just over two happy years at Leycester House, surrounded by incredibly caring, flexible and understanding staff. We always felt welcome to visit mum, who died there peacefully just after her 98th birthday. I miss her very much and I also miss the loving, kind and funny members of staff whom I met.

The manager and the staff in the dementia wing provide love and care in extremely trying conditions. My mother who passed away early Tuesday morning spent the last year of her life there. I have nothing but praise to give. Leycester House feels more like a personal hotel than a care home. I am so glad that we chose Leycester House - unsurpassed care. And I have very happy memories of her birthday last which we spent with her. Very many thanks and highly recommended.

Review from Jill W (Daughter of Resident) | 5 out of 5

My mum has been a resident at Leycester House for over 2-years and whilst there she has received the most wonderful, professional and loving care. When we as a family are not able to be with her we know that she is in the most wonderful home and being looked after in such a loving and dignified way. She enjoys everything about the home, and there is always something for the residents to join in with.

Review from Maureen R (Daughter of Resident)| 5/5

My 91-year-old mum is a resident at Leycester House. She moved to Leycester House in January 2020 and is just so happy there. The staff are just amazing and helped my mum settle so quickly. They are always so positive and happy which creates such a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the home. Nothing is too much of a problem. The communication from all the staff has been outstanding, and so appreciated.

Review from Liz S (Daughter of Resident) | 5/5

Leycester House is an outstanding setting for our mum. We’ve had experience of a few and LH is in a different league. The accommodation is comfortable and pleasant enough, but what makes LH stand out are the truly wonderful staff who truly care about what they do and how they do it. Kind, compassionate, gentle, good-humoured, competent, they are fantastic, each and every one of them. Their care is extended to families and relatives too. I feel completely confident that mum is in the safest and kindest of hands at LH. It’s wonderful.

Review from Louise T (Daughter of Resident) | 5/5

A fantastic care home which is well designed and well run. The environment is warm and welcoming and both care and pastoral services are excellent. Residents are respected and treated as adults. There are plenty of activities and all are encouraged to attend and/or take part. Good quality food and a nice bar. The all-in pricing is great for visitors and enables residents to host their loved ones.
